What We’re Fighting For:

United Way of Anchorage advances the common good by mobilizing the caring power of our community. Our focus is on education, income and health — the building blocks for a good quality of life.

OUR WORK

IMPACT: For ten years running, no child need sleep out in the cold during the Anchorage winter.

What We’re Talking About:

From October to May, There’s Always Room at the Inn

Take ten Anchorage churches, add hundreds of volunteers, fortify with the work of the Municipality, AWAIC and Alaska 2-1-1, and what do you get?  Zero.  As in zero winter nights that a family experiencing homelessness had to spend unsheltered.

To live better we must LIVE UNITED.

DAY OF CARING FOOD DRIVE – September 13

Take action against hunger.  Host a food drive in your neighborhood, with your book club, civic organization or church as part of United Way’s Day of Caring Food Drive. Deliver what you collect on September 13 to 2121 Spar Avenue between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.  Together we can put an end to hunger in Anchorage.
