We are excited to introduce this year’s United Way of Anchorage Community Campaign Cabinet. The goal of the cabinet is to provide a financial backbone for Anchorage’s collaborative effort to recover and improve healthcare, education, housing and financial stability for everyone in the community.
UNITE TO THRIVE CAMPAIGN CHAIR – JOHN SIMS
“Everyday people in our community are faced with life-changing events that have only been worsened by the pandemic. But whether it’s a loss of life, a loss of livelihood, or a loss of health, we can and should come together to help alleviate the burdens our neighbors are bearing.
That’s why I’m honored to chair this year’s community campaign. I’m inspired by the resilience of our community and our community members who have faced incredible challenges over the past 18 months. We’ve come a long way toward recovery but we must work together and look out for one another as COVID continues to ripple through our homes and businesses.”
John Sims, president of ENSTAR Natural Gas Company and longtime supporter of United Way, will chair the 2021 Community Campaign Cabinet. Sims heads a seasoned team of Alaska business and community leaders who have volunteered to lead the annual community-wide giving campaign.
