AK Can Do, a partnership between United Way of Anchorage and The Alaska Community Foundation, was created specifically to address needs arising from the COVID-19 crisis. Contributions to the fund provides immediate statewide support where it’s needed most in two ways:
- by helping nonprofits with critical and long-term needs so they can keep serving Alaskans whose lives have been devastated by the pandemic
- by helping families and individuals as they struggle with basics such as paying rent and utilities
With a careful reopening of the economy, support may be needed for months.
The neighbor to neighbor movement you powered locally, initially through Anchorage Cares, and now power statewide through AK Can Do, is reaching Alaskans by the most effective means possible. (Read the latest Updates.)
Please join us to help those hit the hardest by COVID-19 – whether they be next door or across the state.
