We can make homelessness rare and brief if we all work together.
Anchored Home: 2018-2021, Anchorage’s community plan to Solve Homelessness has launched after an extensive public input process. These vital conversations helped guide the work and final plan for addressing homelessness and housing issues in our community.
Anchored Home includes four key pillars that will help Anchorage solve the homelessness issues we face.
1. Promoting Prevention & Diversion from homelessness- Led by Michele Brown, President and CEO, United Way of Anchorage
2. Growing the Housing & Support System- Led by Jasmine Khan, Executive Director, Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness
3. Improving Public Health & Safety- Led by Nancy Burke, Housing and Homelessness Coordinator, Municipality of Anchorage
4. Increasing Advocacy & Funding to bolster efforts- Led by Dr. Richard Mandsager, Sr. Fellow with the Rasmuson Foundation
See the documents below to discover the details of the plan and how we are moving forward as a community in the work to ensure homelessness is a rare, brief and one-time occurrence.
