In April of 2017, members of the 90% by 2020 partnership visited JBER to talk with the leaders of the 176 Wing Command Air Guard about how we can work together to encourage kids and support their journey to graduation, and share the opportunities available to them in the Alaska Air Guard.
After a productive meeting, we went on a tour of their facilities and met many of the staff. We even got to board a C-130 aircraft!
Since then, Senior Airman Rex Sharp, Jr., participated on our panel of first generation graduates at the screening of the “Why Not Us?” documentary. And the Alaska Air Guard has helped up distribute Grad Blitz posters on base.
There are lots of exciting things in the works! Stay tuned for more updates.
