11th Annual book PARTY in the park – august 10
Look for United Way’s Graduation Station at thread’s Book Party in the Park from 4-7pm at Mt. View Garden Art Park. This great outdoor family event features live music, story time, activities and more. BEST OF ALL – children of all ages get to take home FREE books!
HUGSS – august 15
HUGSS (Help Us Give School Supplies) will be giving free school supplies to kids and families in need from 9am – 6pm at East High School. Our healthcare navigators will be on hand to answer questions about Denali Kidcare and kids can get their picture taken at our Graduation Station. You can help make sure all students start the new school year off with the tools they need. Drop off donations at Lutheran Social Services, 1303 W. 33rd. You’ll find a list of needed supplies below. day of caring food drive – september 15
Now’s the time to start planning for your Day of Caring Food Drive. Organize your company and those you work with, rally your family and friends, unite your neighborbood, church, and civic organization. Your actions and generosity will ease the ache of hunger for thousands of our neighbors helping kids do better in school and families to stay housed. You’ll find a flyer with a list of most needed food items below.
