FREE TAX PREP EVENT – FEBRUARY 22
When was the last time you sat with a volunteer who’d love to do your taxes for free? On Saturday, Feb. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mountain View Library will host a Free Tax Prep event. The Mountain View event will include free tax preparation by IRS-certified volunteers — and computer stations for do-it-yourselfers to file free online at MyFreeTaxes.com. People filing their own taxes will have the benefit of tax coaches on hand to help.
Dental Days At UAA – March 26 & 27
Dental Days is an annual event offered to those who are on a limited budget and have no dental insurance. Community dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff, along with UAA Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting students, faculty and staff, volunteer their time and skills to provide services to patients at no cost.
Free tax prep and financial fair – April 4
This event combines free in-person tax preparation by IRS certified volunteers — along with computer stations and MyFreeTaxes coaches for those wishing to prepare and file their own taxes on line — with opportunities to learn about financial literacy resources in our community.
