Events that Inspire Hope and Improve Lives in Anchorage
Your involvement in community events helps create a thriving community for us all. Everything from GRAD CHALK, Day of Caring Food Drive, Graduation Station to Free Tax Prep, your energy and resources advance United Way’s work and make measurable, lasting change for our community.
Some events have even set records! We achieved the GUINNESS WORLD RECORD™ title for Longest fist bump relay on August 20, 2016 thanks to the hundreds of people who joined us to take a stand to end homelessness in Anchorage!
WALK 4 WARMTH – February 7
Spread the word – United Way’s Walk 4 Warmth is back!
The best way to end family homelessness is to prevent it from happening in the first place. That’s what United Way’s Walk 4 Warmth is about. We’re walking to raise awareness and money to help hard-pressed Anchorage families cover rent and utility payments. Your donations will help some of our neighbors stay warm and housed this winter.
Please join us. Registration is free. The walk will start at First Presbyterian Church of Anchorage, 616 West 10th Ave. and end at the Anchorage Museum for the exhibition premiere of Evicted and a panel discussion focused on homelessness in Anchorage featuring Michele Brown, United Way of Anchorage President & CEO. Hope to see you there.
